Little statisticians in action! Can preschoolers read charts?
Definitely! They can even create them! On May 7th, our Promotions and Media Relations Office hosted the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Preschool, bringing indirect benefits. The meeting proved that there's never a better time to learn data.
The event was led by Maria Ronikier-Dolańska from the Department of Statistical Education, who transformed the world of numbers into a fascinating frequency.
💡 What do children learn?
Through engaging exercises and activities, the little explorers:
• Created their own charts – building visual scientific representations (e.g., colorful fruits or colors).
• Interpreted data – learning to draw conclusions from simple graphical forms.
• Understood a different world – recognizing that numbers tell interesting stories about our lives.
Investing in analytical thinking from an early age is the foundation of an informed society. We are proud that this expansion of statistics is being implemented in such a vibrant part of the world!
Thank you to the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Kindergarten for their warm welcome! 🎈
